Retired Master Sergeant Guy Sotomayor is an experienced leader who has dedicated his life to serving his country and community. Now, he's taking his passion for public service to a new level as he runs for Madison County Commission for the first time, bringing a progressive vision to local government.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Over the years, the community has seen tremendous growth, but our infrastructure has not kept up with the pace. My campaign is focused on addressing these issues by upgrading the infrastructure to meet the demands of modern society and moving forward into the future. With my experience and knowledge in this area, I am confident that we can make a positive impact on the community as a whole. Let's work together to build a smarter, greener, and more connected community.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
My campaign is committed to creating policies that provide housing options for individuals and families of all backgrounds, income levels, and lifestyles. Whether you’re a single adult, a growing family, or a senior on a fixed income, I believe that everyone deserves housing that is affordable and fits their unique needs. Iʻm dedicated to making sure that affordable housing is a top priority for our county.
EDUCATION
I firmly believe that education is the key to unlocking a better future for our communities, particularly in rural areas. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to invest in schools, reduce class sizes and improve access to early childhood education. These measures are critical to laying a strong foundation for our children’s future success. As a parent of a school-aged child, I know firsthand the challenges that need to be overcome to improve our education system, and I’m committed to working tirelessly to create a better future for our children.
Military Experience
Master Sergeant Sotomayor's journey to public service began in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for 22 years. During his military career, he demonstrated unwavering dedication to the principles of integrity, service, and excellence. He held various leadership positions, including leading joint teams of Army soldiers and Air Force Airmen across nine overseas combat deployments. His leadership was marked by a commitment to teamwork, inclusivity, and an unwavering dedication to the well-being of his soldiers and Airmen.
